 SOCIAL STUDIES QUARTER 2 PROJECT
Lesson 4: The New Deal
Poster Summative Project

Goal: Your challenge is to create an incredible and informative poster that provides key information about the New Deal and FDR.

*This poster will count for 15% of your final exam grade for Social studies. The test, which will focus on Lessons 1-3 will count for the other 15%.

Your poster must include all of the following:

1.      *A short biography of FDR. You must talk about why you think he won the election so easily.
2.      *Describe the 3 goals that FDR had: relief, recovery, and reform
3.   *Discuss at least 2 of the New Deal programs and their purposes
4.   *Identify one complaint that some people had about the New Deal

For each of the above parts, you must include the following:

*A written explanation that clearly describes the concept. (This must be typed in Times New Roman Size 14 font, double spaced) 

*A drawn or printed illustration to go along with it

Other:

*Make sure to include a clear, easy to read, neat, title

*Make sure your poster is well organized with pictures near their written explanations

*You must have at least two sources for your research. You may use the textbook as one source and a reliable internet site or a book for the other. You may not use Wikipedia. 

*You must list the sources on your poster under the heading: Sources.



*I will give you a piece of poster board from the library in the color you choose. This project will be done entirely on your own time and is due on Monday December 12 by 8:35 am.
