Happy Wednesday everyone!

And a VERY special HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MICHAEL!! We hope you have a wonderful day and that this is the best year yet! =)

This morning in Writing class we had a great lesson about how to respond to literature. We will continue this later in the week. During Science class we reviewed the parts of a plant and their functions and moved on to how plants make food. After watching a video and going through the textbook, students worked in small groups to come up with a set of steps describing each part of the food making process. We put those together to make clear study notes. In Social Studies we finished talking about the changes progressives made, reflected on yesterday's readers theater, and had an introduction to our next lesson about the unfair treatment of African Americans. During Reading class we continued to read Stormalong, stopping to discuss it throughout.
