Hi everyone,
This morning we had a lesson on creating great sentences by following the pattern of :
awesome adjective + subject (noun) + vivid verb
Following the lesson I played a short clip for students and I stopped at each scene and had them come up with a fantastic, descriptive sentence for it. The clip we watched is here if you care to take a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebixg4W9l8s.
Look at theses AMAZING sentences the kids came up with to describe what was happening throughout the video! I am SO impressed!
The embarrassed
father snapped photos of his adorable daughter.
The hilarious
piggy dashed through the dark forest.
The warm and
thoughtful girl visited her sorrowful grandmother.
The horrified
girl suspected her grandmother was a creepy wolf.
The handsome
hunter saved the shocked girl and grandma.
The proud and
excited parents cheered for the children.
During Math we learned how to add and subtract greater numbers. In Science we did an experiment with food coloring and celery to model how vascular plants use their roots to absorb water and send it to the rest of the plants. We will see the results tomorrow! Afterwards we reviewed photosynthesis and did the online interactive lesson for plant reproduction.
After Writing, Math, and Science class the kids needed a little break to shake it out before Chinese Class. Look at them go!
