This morning at assembly our very own Ayrton was honored for his achievements in tae kwon do! Way to go, we are so proud of you!
We spent some time this morning preparing for our upcoming presentation at next Monday's assembly on the virtue of friendship. The students split into groups and worked very well together to come up with an acrostic poem, create a friend SHIP complete with a global flag, and choose a short video based on the idea of friendship.
During Math, we reviewed how to estimate sums and differences and then talked about how to determine if a word problem needs an exact number or an estimation for its answer. In Science students wrote their Unit 2 quizzes and then they had some extra time to practice Math or study for tomorrow's Reading Test.
News & Important Reminders:
*If you haven't already please bring in the student insurance form at your earliest convenience.
*Tomorrow is Mass beginning at 8:35 am sharp so please be sure to be in the classroom before that with enough time to complete the morning routine.
**Just a reminder to all fourth grade students, when you come into class in the morning, you should say good morning and come straight to my desk to tell me the word of the day. Next, unpack your school bag completely, hand in all your homework, and look to the board for instructions. I will be giving or taking away DOJO points based on how quickly and how well you are following the morning routine. I love the morning routine! Make me happy!! =) =) =)
