School is dismissed at 12:00 pm today. Please be careful and get home safely.
This morning we jumped straight into math learning about multiplication properties and division rules. Because my voice is still not 100 percent, I guided students towards self teaching this lesson and taking helpful notes but we will definitely go over it again when I can speak properly. After Math introduction and practice, I gave students one on one feedback for last night's Social Studies homework. They edited their work appropriately and then we went up to the computer lab to read an online article about Jim Crow laws and they took a quiz on what they read. Afterwards they did IXL multiplication and division practice. Grade 4's, if you feel that your multiplication and division skills are not the best they can be yet, I encourage you to use IXL to practice. The better you are at these skills the easier the rest of the year will be for you in Math class.
