I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. This morning students wrote their Chapter 9 math tests. I have marked and returned them so please sign them tonight. During Science class we did an interesting science investigation to explore why we predict weather. We also heard a fascinating true story about a pilot who had to parachute through a storm cloud when he had to abandon his jet mid flight. The kids were enthralled by the tale!
I had to have a serious talk with the class today about being responsible for completing and handing in all homework and assignments on time. Those who are unable to do this will lose their breaks, be assigned extra homework to complete on those breaks, and/or serve lunch detention. Everyone forgets things sometimes and that's okay. It's when it becomes a regular occurrence that it is a problem. Be responsible for your own things, communicate with your teacher, and manage your time wisely (don't leave all your work until the last minute).
