We have had an exciting morning in grade 4. In Language we learned about complete and simple subjects and predicates and after the initial lesson I split students into small groups and had them make as many creative sentences as they could in a timed period. They presented them to the class and everyone was howling with laughter at the silly phrases! We did some workbook practice and those who didn't finish will have it for homework tonight. In Science we did an online interactive lesson to deepen our understanding of what scientists do. During Math I gave students a chapter 1 pretest so I could better assess their level. Afterwards I showed them a place value chart and we practiced writing numbers in the correct columns.
Important Reminders:
- Tomorrow students are allowed to wear their regular street clothes for the day. They may bring their Sports Day shirts for P.E. class.
- Next Saturday August 20 will be an open house from 9-11 am for parents to visit the classrooms, meet the teachers, and ask any questions. Hope you can join us!
